Columbia Homecoming Oct. 17
SEAS Alumni registration has begun for Homecoming, scheduled for Oct. 17 against Penn at the Baker Athletics Complex. Festivities include a pre-game alumni picnic, a carnival, the game and a post-game Engineering reception. MORE

EE Professor Dimitris Anastassiou has won an $800,000 award from the NIH to discover biological mechanisms responsible for psychiatric disorders. MORE

Dual MS Launches With Bologna Univ.
Columbia SEAS has taken an historic step in its globalization initiatives by signing a dual certification agreement with the University of Bologna that provides an opportunity for students from both universities to obtain a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from each institution with only one additional year of study. In this workshop, participants assess their values, skills, interests, talents, and personality traits through helpful discussions, exercises, and career tools, including the Strong Interest Inventory and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, and consider how results apply to the working world. Alumni will leave with a clearer sense of their career options and an action plan with next steps to take.
